Minnesota Law Guide
For the past ten years, MISF has worked to develop a legal resource handbook for the state's nonpublic education community. The most recent edition of the Guide to Laws Affecting Minnesota Nonpublic PreK-12 Schools was published in April 2008. The handbook includes the following content:
- Resources related to reporting, NCLB, accrediting agencies, criminal background checks, special education, Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO), educational aids, a directory of contacts for state and federal programs affecting nonpublic schools, and more
- Various forms and applications to assist nonpublic schools with compliance issues, teacher licensing, immunization, transportation, and other topics
- An outline of state statutes, including new and recently amended statutes
The Guide to Laws Affecting Minnesota Nonpublic PreK-12 Schools is provided as a service to MISF member schools. Nonmember schools may purchase copies of the handbook for $75 per guide. Please contact Sheila Williams Ridge to secure a copy for your school.

"Attending my first meeting with the MISF Development Directors made me wonder ... Was it the 'tour' of Pacelli High School, or the colleagiality among those attending? Or was it the timely topic on direct mail? All in all, it recharged my batteries! Keep up the good work!"
