Every gift really does matter.

When you make a gift to MISF, you join many individuals, corporations, foundations, friends, and staff who support the MISF Honor Fund each year. All of those gifts add up in a big way.  If you wonder how far your gift goes, just take a look at the many accomplishments listed below.   MISF is asking for your support so that we may continue to offer valuable services to our members and provide a public voice for all independent schools.

This past year, donor support helped us accomplish the following:

  • MISF provided 8 professional advancement workshops last year in development, admissions, marketing and technology with 445 school staff and administrators in attendance.  In 2013-2014 MISF averaged 49 attendees at workshops and in 2014-2015 that number increased to 56.
  • 80 school leaders, principals, and administrators from 56 member schools across Minnesota, along with a number of presenters and sponsors, attended the 2015 MISF School Leadership Conference at Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge in Deerwood, MN. The Conference offered attendees the opportunity to network, share ideas, learn valuable skills and problem solve with their peers.  The theme for the year, "We're in this Together," stressed the vital connections and commonality of our work as independent/private school leaders and communities.
  • MISF provided inspiration, financial support and professional development opportunities through the MISF STEM Program. The 2015 STEM Education Conference had record attendance with 294 educators.  On April 26th, 2015 MISF awarded nearly $114,000 in STEM grants to 22 member schools at our Education Awards event.
  • MISF represents the 456 independent schools in the state serving 68,213 students, as we continue our advocacy efforts among legislators and policymakers.  We work to expand and deepen relationships with educational partners through a broad based coalition focused on legislation dedicated to parental and school choice. In addition, we seek to reinforce the significant economic impact/ROI independent schools have on the state educational budget.

Our work to connect and convene independent/private schools across Minnesota brings innovative resources to our schools’ ability to recruit students, raise necessary funds, implement best practices, inform the public dialogue and create a vibrant network of partners.

As you can see, every gift matters. We hope you will consider yours today!  Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and generous response.
