There are over 470 K-12 private and independent schools in Minnesota educating tens of thousands of students. The Minnesota Independent School Forum (MISF) believes each school deserves and needs to benefit from its programs, services, professional development, research, and public policy support in order to remain a viable and superior choice for families who desire the highest quality education for their children.

Access: MISF’s mission statement is firmly rooted in strengthening K-12 independent schools so that these schools are able to educate and transform the lives of young people—individuals who will one day become the leaders, responsible citizens, and highly sought after employees who will enrich and enhance our state and nation.

Advocacy:  MISF exists to protect the state’s K-12 independent schools and students as well as the public funds they have the right to receive.

Collaboration:  To become a member of MISF is to join a community network of independent schools and the supporters of these schools who want to make a difference in the lives of kids.
